Things That Light Up

On my way into your house

I thought that I saw a light
a light all around
splashin' shadows on the ground

You suggest we eat on the stairs
but I want to go in the backyard
we eat on the stairs
and the moon comes in pairs

"Hooooooow do you do?" Says the dog in the night
"Fine, how are you?" We say with a smile

We discovered things that light up
When they are held close to yourself
or someone else

but mostly someone else
